How's it going my gumdrops? Yesterday morning, JournalHome.com gave me a little scare because my account was "suspended." When I was about to share the link to my blog, I was zapped by JournalHome's over zealous spam blocker.
In order to have my account re-enabled, I had to contact JournalHome's webmaster on its facebook page. That was a very close call. Had my account been permanently removed, I would've gone postal.
I felt as if JournalHome.com blindsided and shot the messenger! I already sang the blogging site's praises to everyone and would've hated for Xangans to be angry at me for disappointing them.
If you happen to learn, that your JournalHome account was suspended, it was probably because the spam blocker assumed, that you were a spammer. You should immediately contact JournalHome's facebook page. Unlike The Xanga Team, you're guaranteed to get feedback within hours as opposed to months.
This week, I may post another blog, before Thanksgiving. I really want to share a blog about cheap talkers and their broken promises. I'm not promising you, that I will post this blog before Thanksgiving. I'll probably be really busy. However, I will change the scenery for It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns, after the holiday.
Meanwhile, I'm happy to announce, that Dish Network and Turner finally settled their dispute, after a month.
Yay! I was told last week on Adult Swim, that Dish intended to permanently remove every Turner channel, including TBS and TNT. I wouldn't have been too heart broken about those networks vanishing, since I haven't watched them in years. I was mostly concerned about Cartoon Network because I watch Adult Swim's animation on the weekends.
On another note, I can't believe Thanksgiving is in 4 more days! There's so much to do in a short amount of time.
Even though the holiday arrives in 4 more days, doesn't mean we can't watch a Charlie Brown classic.
I always loved watching the Peanuts franchise growing up. I had a stuffed Snoopy, when I was a baby. I loved that toy. I wonder where it is, right now. It's probably buried in storage with most of my toys from the '80s and early '90s. Ya gotta love childhood nostalgia!
As I've matured over the years, I still love watching holiday specials about Peanuts characters. Every time I watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Special from 1973, I notice more flaws in certain characters.
I have mostly noticed Peppermint Patty's, for example. She is a very rude, self-important, inconsiderate, and opportunistic, free loader.
The fact, that Patty invited herself over to Charlie Brown's house for Thanksgiving reminds me of my uncle and his shrew, Medusa.
They are very rude, self-important, inconsiderate, and opportunistic, free loaders. Any other time, we CANNOT contact my uncle, unless he decides to be greedy by bumming a free meal and marital counseling from my grandmother.
In addition to those 2 greedy guts being rude, inconsiderate, self-important, and opportunistic, they always manage to weasel themselves into being invited for our birthdays and holidays.
Rather than my grandmother and my mother saying no, they choose to submit. This leads to us all running around the house, while screaming at each other because we have to cook and clean for 2-3 more worrisome people, who we don't want "visiting" us. Ugh!
It is terrible to say, but they are unpleasant family members as guests. Nobody wants to listen to my aunt from Madison nit pick our dinners and the TV shows we choose to watch. We also do NOT want to watch some miserably married couple (my uncle and Medusa) put on a cheesy, lovey-dovey front.
They fight 24/7 at their own house. Then, they pretend to be "happily married" around company. What's the point? Everyone already knows they're unhappy as a couple.
Anyway, here is the 1973 version of A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Special for this Cartoon Sunday.
Let me know what you think
