How's it going my gumdrops? How are you enjoying the content on here? I'm sure many of you have wondered how and why I label videos and songs on my blogs. Labeling the content on It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns is my way of informing viewers what they are listening to and watching.
Originally, I started labeling music as a radio show hostess/dj. Our manager required everyone to fill out a music playlist. It was his way of monitoring and keeping track of what we played on our radio shows. Writing out our playlists also helped us organize and keep track of what songs we were playing by certain artists and groups for our shows.
Whenever I'm labeling music for Song Saturday, I start with the artist's/group's name. Then, I put quotation marks around the song or music video's title and italicize the album's title. The year that the song or music video was released is surrounded by parentheses.
This format of labeling content has been done many times over the years, whenever you're reading a news article or something along those lines in regards to content. Most readers are unobservant of it.
This is another reason why I usually color code the labels in bold.
The labeling I do for Cartoon Sunday blogs is similar to what I do for Song Saturday blogs. I begin with the title of the animation and italicize it. Sometimes if there's a title for the episode, I will put it in quotation marks. Then, I will list the year that cartoon or episode was released in parentheses exactly like when I publish Song Saturday blogs.
Just to warn you all in advance, I may not do a Song Saturday or Cartoon Sunday blog, this weekend. I have been blogging all week on Blogger, Blogster, JournalHome, and Horror-Punks. That's along with updating past blogs and publishing these last 2 blogs on It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns, this week.
Therefore, I'm giving myself A weekend from blogging. If I don't give myself a break, I will be burned out. In case you missed the last 2 blogs, you can click on "Blog," scroll down to which blog(s) you want to read, click, and read them.
Thank you my gumdrops! Don't forget to like, subscribe, share, +1 on Google Plus, and leave your feedback in the comments section below!
