RANT: Toonami Sychophants And Their Incessant Crying

Posted by Anna H. on June 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM

How's it going my gumdrops? I have been trying to decide what to share for the next 2 Cartoon Sunday blogs.

Would you like it if I shared Animated Horror Shorts under 5 minutes long? Or would you prefer to watch something 5 minutes or longer?

Let me know what you think in the comments section below.

Aside from the next 2 Cartoon Sunday blogs, those of you who have been subscribed to yours truly for the last several years on Xanga 1.0, Blogster, It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns, etc. have read my complaints about Toonami and its fanbase.

I CANNOT help reiterating how much of obnoxious brats Toonami fans can be. Yes, I know that every Toonami fan is NOT a crybaby. However, the crybabies overshadow the fans, who genuinely enjoy other types of Action Anime, along with other genres and sub-genres.

Every time a certain Action Anime fanbase does not get their way about a show, they act like the BIGGEST crybabies on message boards and social media sites. Otherwise, they will mock other fanbases because they didn't get their way about a show.

Some One Piece fans are currently throwing temper tantrums because Adult Swim's Toonami block is airing the Seinen Horror Action Anime, Tokyo Ghoul as One Piece's replacement. One Piece fans DO have a right to be upset.

One Piece fans got the shaft, since the time Toonami chose to premiere this Shonen Jump Action Anime at episode 207 in 2013 rather than premiere it at episode 1 like most normal shows.

Premiering a show at episode 207 rather than the beginning only demonstrated, that those running this revival of Toonami have no respect for One Piece fans.

Toonami did a TERRIBLE job of handling One Piece fans and their temper tantrums. Therefore, I can sympathize and empathize with the fans. At the same time, it does NOT give One Piece fans the right to mock other fanbases.

There are some EXTREMELY bitter One Piece fans currently mocking us Tokyo Ghoul fans, while crying in their Monkey D. Luffy boxer shorts over Toonami replacing One Piece with Tokyo Ghoul.

Some are purposely saying, that Tokyo Ghoul is a terrible Anime, that it glorifies cannibalism, it's intentionally "edgy" to pander to Emos and Goths, that Toonami dislikes Tokyo Ghoul because they haven't created newer promos for it, etc.

About a month or 2 ago, those One Piece fans on the current makeshift message board for Adult Swim worked my last nerve so badly, that I gave some of those Toonami brats a piece of my mind.

I let them know that they are NOT the only viewers watching Adult Swim, that those running Toonami are TRYING to attract different types of viewers by adding a Seinen Horror Action Anime like Tokyo Ghoul to the block, and that they whine too much about every little thing.

Also, I pointed out to Toonami fans, that if they depend on a show's ratings to like a show, they would NEVER enjoy anything and that their constant nit picking repulses us other viewers from wanting to watch other shows airing on the Toonami block.

Was it NOT bad enough, that Toonami fans spent YEARS bawling their eyes out all over the Internet about Cartoon Network canceling Toonami in 2008?

After canceling Toonami ~9 years ago, Cartoon Network's programming went to hell in a hand basket. It began airing more boy-centric reality shows, low IQ'ed cartoons, and mostly vapid cartoons from Canada. The ONLY Canadian cartoon I enjoyed watching was 6teen.

Had 6teen aired in its entirety, it could've been aired at an early timeslot on Adult Swim. Some of 6teen's episodes had nudity and other mature content, which was meant for supposed teenagers in Canada.

Here in the good old U.S. of A. helicopter parents would've been outraged by some of 6teen's content because Cartoon Network is meant for children, whereas Adult Swim is meant for adults.

Since Cartoon Network no longer wanted Toonami, they dumped it on Adult Swim. Originally, Adult Swim was suppose to be airing more mature content because all those children, who grew up watching Toonami, in the late 1990's and early 21st Century, are now ADULTS.

The Toonami Team claimed they wanted to grow up its fanbase. If they wanted to supposedly grow up their original fanbase so badly, Why is Toonami airing the most cartoonishly generic and childish-looking Anime on a network for adult viewers?

How much longer until a little boys Anime like Pokemon is airing on Adult Swim?

Here is something I have recently noticed about the veteran Toonami fans. They hate Anime meant for their own age group. That being Action Anime meant for adults and Anime with more MATURE subject matters. This makes me wonder how many adults are actually watching Adult Swim's Toonami block.

Judging from what I have observed over these last 5 years, veteran Toonami fans are too fixated on their childhood nostalgia and cartoon ratings. They depend on cartoon ratings (which CAN be rigged like polls and awards for awards shows).

Additionally, these fanboys DEPEND on a CGI robot and his talking computer to get excited about watching their favorite cartoons. This is something you would expect from a 5-year-old, NOT someone who is in his/her 20's and 30's (dare I even say 40's and older).

When I was a toddler watching Robotech in the mid-80's, a CGI robot and his talking computer were not required to get me excited about watching a Mecha Anime like Robotech or any other type of cartoon. Listening to the announcer mention my cartoons was satisfying enough.

Even though I enjoyed watching some of the Action Anime, that aired on Adult Swim's Toonami block over these last 5 years, a number of us veteran Adult Swim viewers are still disgusted with the fact, that Adult Swim uprooted us to pander to crybaby man-children.

Adult Swim mostly panders to Toonami fanboys, that cling to their childhood nostalgia on Saturday nights and early Sunday mornings. All the while, they are ALWAYS crying about wanting to watch the most childish programming on a network meant for adult animation.

Some of the other Toonami fans are worried about the Toonami block possibly getting canceled again because of the crybabies within their own fanbase constantly throwing tantrums over shows. They fail to realize that they contributed to the cancelation of Chiller TV's Anime Wednesday block, 2 summers ago.

It was bad enough that Chiller TV put almost no effort in promoting their own Anime block this last time. That's not including the fact that only people with Direct TV and Dish Network, at the time were the only people with Chiller TV on our packages.

Adult Swim's Toonami fans wasted so much time nit picking Is This A Zombie? which was only 1 out of 4 Anime airing on Anime Wednesday, that Chiller TV canceled the block after only 3 weeks.

Most people today don't understand that we have the ability to make or break entertainment, especially over the Internet.

To give a better understanding about this fanbase right now, there is a lot of infighting among Toonami fans. In fact, the Toonami fanbase has just as much infighting, if not more than The Republican Party. It's THAT bad.

If Toonami fans do NOT stop acting like entitled, spoiled brats and get their acts together, they WILL be the cause of Toonami getting canceled once again.

Toonami fans will only have themselves to blame for their block getting re-canceled. This is if it does happen again with the mocking of other fanbases, cyberbullying, temper tantrums, and their obsession with cartoon ratings.

With that being said, what are your thoughts about the current state of Toonami's fanbase?

Thank you my gumdrops! Don't forget to like, subscribe, share, +1 on Google Plus, and leave your feedback in the comments section below!

I wouldn't compare Donald Trump to Tom 5?

Democratic are acting badly lately in recent years and this is not coming from bias?

The MSM liberals. (Not true liberals like Geroge Washinton or our four fathers.)

But the modern ones who are pro left and want censorship their way and support SJW crybabies online.

I remember when being a liberal used to be honorably because we fought for our freedom and support LBGT community and give them the rights to get married.

Nowadays? I see more of them wanting things taken down or wanting Donald Trump dead or impeached and I'm like....

"Wait four years until he's done why don't ya?"

Now I feel both sorry and ashamed to be a liberal because what's left of them are shadows and slams of their former selves.

Also, to correct you on the Pokémon comment? Cartoon Network no longer own the rights to Pokémon and has now become a Cartoon Network only channel now.

There's hasn't been any anime on the main channel (Outside of Adult Swim. But different markets.) since Pokémon left the channel for good.

It now airs on Disney XD of all places.

-with-a-big-movie-debut/

The reason why they lost the license is due to money issues and not showing the show on weekdays with shitty ratings on the network. Aka, CN not renewing their contracts.

That and Disney of all companies has promoted Pokémon so many times on their network that they got the rights from CN and are now the owners of every anime on their channel.

Also, in Tokyo Ghoul news. The creator of the manga has gotta hated online due to him giving the main character a love interest and the fanbase has flipped out hard on their nuts and sending him death threats and spoiling his manga using privacy.

(Spoilers it's a straight couple and they got pissed because he's not gay.)

Victor, I wasn't comparing Donald Trump to TOM 5 or any specific politician for that matter. I simply pointed out, that the Toonami fanbase has just as much infighting as The Republican Party. However, I do understand what you mean.

As far as Cartoon Network goes, I haven't watched any of its shows in years. I only watch Adult Swim on the weekend. Sometimes when I'm bored, I will watch syndicated episodes of American Dad or something else.

Meanwhile, Pokemon belongs on a network like Disney XD. It is something meant for children to watch and NOT adults, even though there are adults in their 20's and 30's watching a show and playing a game that is childish.

As for Tokyo Ghoul, I see nothing wrong with the Anime. Japan apparently loves Tokyo Ghoul's franchise, since it has an Anime, Manga, plays, and supposedly a Live Action film. There are Toonami fans, who simply love to nit pick and psychoanalyze everything and everyone because they can't handle change. That's the main reason why Toonami was revived. Toonami fans desperately want to cling to their childhood nostalgia.

Toonami fans are coddled, self-entitled, and don't know how to handle change. They need to grow up and realize that life's NOT fair. The fact that they need a CGI robot to educate them like they are in 3rd grade doesn't say much for them as adults. They actually make themselves look more embarrassing.

Anyway, thank you for your feedback Victor! :)

xXARKILLERXx every fanbase for all entertainment genres and sub-genres have fan wars, but Toonami fans are hardly even fans. Some truly are fans but these people are nothing but fake fans, who nit pick and psychoanalyze everything and everyone down to cartoon ratings. They are total jokes.
