Song Saturday Before Thanksgiving Day: Vince Guaraldi's A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Theme Song

Posted by Anna H. on November 18, 2017 at 7:25 AM

How's it going my gumdrops? Can you believe that Thanksgiving Day is in ONLY 5 more days?! It was JUST November 1st! Now, it is the 18th. As you already know, Christmas will be here, soon. No, this is not a Christmas-themed blog.

I want to refrain from the holiday and other holidays, until next month. Once it turned Halloween, my local CBS news showed Christmas Trees being chopped.

Like I said in the past, I LOVE Christmas. However, I am not in a rush to celebrate the holiday. Neither is any other average person, who celebrates Christmas. Advertisers already advertise Christmas Sales in both July and in December.

Why should Christmas Day constantly be exploited and advertised before and after Halloween, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving?

Let everyone enjoy all the other holidays before and after Christmas, for the LOVE of everything. We just celebrated Veterans Day last Saturday! Now, we are preparing for Thanksgiving.

Rather than relaxing, while reflecting on what they are truly thankful for in their lives, most families today will finish binge eating Thanksgiving Dinner to bum-rush each other on the streets for Gray Thursday and Black Friday Sales.

Otherwise, there are those divisive family members always instigating family feuds about politics, religion, in-laws, etc. Those are the types of family members, that generally make celebrating the holidays insufferable for others.

If I had it my way, I would have a PEACEFUL Thanksgiving Dinner with my family, eat desserts, drink sparkling cider, eggnog, turn on Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Specials, and sleep.

Speaking of the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Specials, I am sharing the theme song from A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. Vince Guaraldi composed the theme song in 1973.

Yes, I know this is different from the usual Song Saturday blog. It is difficult trying to find songs with a Thanksgiving theme.

Then again, you already know that Thanksgiving is always shafted for Gray Thursday, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas Day. If I had more time this November, I would've done another Thanksgiving Music Playlist for Song Saturday.

Since Thanksgiving is only 5 days away and because I still enjoy watching Charlie Brown Specials as an adult, here is that classic theme song from A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving for this festive Song Saturday.
