How's it going my gumdrops? About 2 weeks or so ago, I learned that Miley Cyrus is hosting the MTV VMA's tomorrow.
Miley Cyrus' 2015 MTV VMA Promo:
Clearly, MTV keeps getting shittier each year. The network doesn't show music videos anymore, unless it's on a certain day and at a certain time. What's the point? I'm still reeling over MTV giving Lorde a moon man for Best Rock Video, last year!
Just when we thought things couldn't get any worse, Kanye West is being given the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Seriously, MTV? What happened to the man being banned from the VMA's after bumrushing the stage in 2009, when Taylor Swift won over Beyonce?
2009 MTV VMA's: Kanye West's "Imma Let You Finish" Speech
Since the time of that VMA incident, Kanye West continues to be a performer, guest, and a nominee at the MTV VMA's. "Gold Digger" and "Mercy" are the only songs I have ever liked from the man. Otherwise, I can't stand Kanye West or his porn star wife.
Then again, I also can't stand Taylor Swift and most of today's currently trending celebutards. I used to like Jay-Z and Beyonce, before they became pretentious, pseudo intellectual, political blowhards.
I felt really badly for Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMA's. That was until the media began shoving her in our faces, cramming her down our throats, and serial dating every man in Hollywood because she needs a new song. Now, we have to suffer through her concert performances on MTV year after year. Thanks a lot, Kanye!
Honestly, I blame Kanye West for making Taylor Swift so popular by making that huge production at the 2009 MTV VMA's. Because of him, nobody will shut up about her. I'm starting to believe that Kanye West attacking Tayslore, 6 years ago was all a publicity stunt to launch her career.
Shortly after, the girl was in a shitty Hollywood movie, commercials, etc. It has turned into attention whoring at its finest. Suddenly, Taylor and Kanye are now "friends." *Achoo!* Sorry, I'm highly allergic to bullshit.
Why the hell would Taylor Swift want to be friends with someone, who refers to himself as "Yeezus" and has a history of throwing 2-year-old temper tantrums on stages at award shows?
The only reason Taylor Swift would most likely want to be friends with Kanye West is because she needs to write more songs about him and other men in Hollywood, that have supposedly wronged her. This would mostly include every man she dates.
Regarding the 2015 MTV VMA's, Taylor Swift leads with 10 music video nominations and has a music video premiere, during the pre-show. Sounds like I need to have my barf bag ready for tomorrow.
You're probably wondering, "If you feel that way about the VMA's, why are you watching it?" I'm watching the 2015 MTV VMA's for the Best Rock Video, Pharrell Williams' performance, Jared Leto and Ice Cube presenting, and mostly because I want to see who's going to act a fool.
Will Kanye West act a fool at the MTV VMA's, again or someone else?
Speaking of Kanye West, I started thinking about that old Mind Of Mencia scene from 2005. Carlos Mencia created his own music video spoofing off Kanye's "Gold Digger." The parody was during the time of The Bush Administration. Everyone wasn't that extreme about being "politically correct" and almost everyone blamed Bush Jr. for Hurricane Katrina, 10 years ago.
I thought people would never shut up about Hurricane Katrina and Bush Jr. including my last English Literature professor. Most people annoyed the hell out of me at that point, but that's a different story for another time.
As I was saying, Carlos Mencia and Aries Spears had collaborated on a music video. They created a parody of Kanye West's "Gold Digger" in 2005. When I had originally watched the parody 10 years ago, I couldn't help laughing.
Carlos Mencia went as far as claiming, that Kanye West never got shot like rapper 50 Cent did for his money and that George W. Bush was more of a gangster than Kanye. Basically, the man is a pretentious tryhard rapper with a God Complex.
I was unable to find the actual Mind Of Mencia music video on YouTube. However, I DID manage to locate another link to Carlos Mencia's parody of Kanye West's "Gold Digger" on a different site.
Since I talked so much about Kanye West, the 2015 MTV VMA's, and blaming him for Taylor Swift's popularity, it's only fair that I share this parody about Kanye West for today's Song Saturday. Anyway, here's the link to Carlos Mencia's parody of Kanye West's "Gold Digger."
